Meet the Team

Erin Barbossa, LMSW
Founder
Erin founded Motherhood Supported with a conviction for helping mothers get the support they need to feel relief, heal, and live peacefully. Erin has always challenged the stigma around mental health issues. She wonders why do we go to the dentist 2x a year but we have no routine mental healthcare? She invites moms to feel welcomed to psychotherapy and the nurturing, safe environment it creates. Erin became a therapist after working as an Associate Producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show and says she is still helping women to live their best lives.
Erin received a dual degree from Syracuse University in Television, Radio, and Film Production & Psychology. She went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in children and families. Two of her favorite trainings have been Internal Family Systems, and with Postpartum Support International & 2020MOM: Certificate of Completion in Maternal Mental Health.

Maya McDaniel Bailey, LPC, NCC
Director of Development
Maya McDaniel Bailey is a licensed professional counselor, consultant, and artist of the inner world. She is the founder of From Rain to Rainbow Counseling & Consulting, where healing is treated as a human and creative practice. Her work integrates neuroscience, identity exploration, and the arts—understanding creativity as a powerful form of nervous system regulation and truth-telling.
Maya's approach is like a gentle but bright light of passion, purpose, and creativity. She holds space for whatever energy you bring and invites in all the mess—the hurt parts and the parts seeking support and vitality are all welcome. Today's world challenges us to stay grounded in Love even when we have so much to grieve. Maya brings her experience running groups for the LGBTQIA+ community, peer support for caretaking professionals, and her personal experience as a NICU mom to every circle.

You're in the right place.
Your marriage isn't ending up how you imagined it. In fact, it's ended completely. You know this is a vulnerable time and you want support to reshape your family dynamic. Talking to a therapist can help you work through the complex feelings that come with a marriage ending while supporting you and your kids in a new phase of life.
How can a therapist help?
A therapeutic relationship is a safe neutral space for you to process what's happened and get clear on what it means to move forward. Therapists use evidence based interventions to help improve mood, increase sleep quality and decrease irritability.

Signs that you might benefit from seeing a therapist include:
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Persistent sadness
- Irritability and agitation
- Feeling the need to control other things in your life
- Mood swings
- Constant preoccupation with something
- Change in appetite, weight, or sleep patterns
